The record features 2Mex in the finest hour of his storied ÛÛ
15-year career. Over fifteen tracks, the gifted emcee ÛÛ
showcases his charismatic, versatile flow delivering ÛÛ
razor-sharp observations and a signature lyrical wit over a ÛÛ
varied selection of ground-shaking and groundbreaking sounds ÛÛ
from underground hip hop's finest beatmakers. Appearances ÛÛ
and production are contributed by Murs (Felt, Living ÛÛ
Legends), Prince Po (Organized Konfusion), Busdriver, Ikey ÛÛ
Owens (The Mars Volta), Ceschi, and many more. The album ÛÛ
includes the lead single "Dead Hand Control", produced by ÛÛ
Owens and Deeskee (Shapeshifters). ÛÛ

2Mex is infamous for keeping his fanbase satiated with an ÛÛ
almost constant flood of releases, both as a solo artist and ÛÛ
with his acclaimed group projects (including the seminal ÛÛ
indie rap collective Visionaries and Look Daggers, his ÛÛ
collaboration with Ikey Owens of The Mars Volta). My Fanbase ÛÛ
Will Destroy You, however, took two years to create, and ÛÛ
that extended period yielded a record that represents his ÛÛ
multi-faceted skills in the most comprehensive and precise ÛÛ
manner yet. ÛÛ

A break of this length was an astounding accomplishment for ÛÛ
a man who is possibly the most prolific underground rapper ÛÛ
ever, with over 35 CD releases in his catalog and too many ÛÛ
guest appearances to count. The newly-discovered sense of ÛÛ
focus for one project came about in part due to a discussion ÛÛ
with Strange Famous Records label boss Sage Francis (a ÛÛ
prolific underground legend in his own right), who signed ÛÛ
2Mex in 2008: ÛÛ

"One caveat of the deal was established from the start: this ÛÛ
has to be the quintessential 2Mex album," says Francis. "The ÛÛ
best of the best. It will be the next level record. The ÛÛ
ceiling breaker. It will be the only 2Mex album that is ÛÛ
released in the year that it comes out." ÛÛ

And so begand the journey that led to classic-quality tracks ÛÛ
such as the first single "Dead Hand Control," the anthemic ÛÛ
return-to-form pledge of allegiance "Back", and the ÛÛ

bandmate Stacey Dee). Organized Konfusion's Prince Po shows ÛÛ
up on "What You Know About," a dedication to the ÛÛ
under-the-radar greats that influenced a generation of hip ÛÛ

"Rollercoaster." The subsonic bass crunch of "Press Your ÛÛ
